1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

2. Nature of the Services

Online Degree Match provides informational resources and a matching experience that helps prospective students explore online education options and connect with participating colleges, universities, and education-related partners. We partner with institutions and marketing partners to support student discovery and enrollment pathways.

Important clarifications:

• We are not a college or university and do not award degrees, certificates, or credits.
• We do not control admissions decisions, tuition, curriculum, accreditation status, or financial aid awards at any school.
• Program availability, modality (online, hybrid, or on-campus), start dates, and costs vary by institution and may change.
• Financial aid, scholarships, or grants—if available—are determined by the school or aid provider and typically require separate applications.
• Employment or career outcomes are never guaranteed.

3. Matching requests & communications

When you submit a matching request, you ask us to share relevant details with participating education partners so they may contact you about programs that may align with your goals. By providing a phone number and email address, you consent to be contacted by Online Degree Match and those partners using the contact methods you supply—including calls, texts, and emails—regarding educational opportunities. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any good or service.

You can manage marketing email preferences via our unsubscribe page. Partner communications are subject to each partner's own practices; contact them directly to opt out of their outreach.

4. License to use the Site

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for your personal, non-commercial educational research. We (and our licensors) retain all rights, title, and interest in the Site, including text, design, logos, software, and trademarks. You may not copy, modify, distribute, scrape, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit Site materials without our prior written permission.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Provide false, misleading, or another person's information
• Interfere with Site security, availability, or integrity (including introducing malware or attempting unauthorized access)
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers, spiders) to access the Services except as allowed by public search engines indexing in accordance with robots.txt
• Use the Services in any way that violates applicable law or these Terms

We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you have violated these Terms or created risk for other users, partners, or our systems.

6. Third-party sites & partners

The Services may link to or reference third-party websites, schools, or offers we do not control. We do not endorse and are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices. Your interactions with schools and other third parties—including enrollment decisions—are solely between you and them.

7. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Online Degree Match disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any school recommendation or match will meet your expectations.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Online Degree Match and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Services—even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

If you have a dispute with a school or other third party, you release Online Degree Match from claims arising out of that dispute to the maximum extent allowed. California residents waive Civil Code §1542 to the extent it applies.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Online Degree Matchand its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Services, your submissions, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

10. Dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Except where prohibited, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis. You waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in a class, collective, or representative action. Arbitration may be conducted by telephone or video under the rules of a mutually recognized arbitration provider. Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in court to protect intellectual property rights.

You must bring any claim within one (1) year after the claim arises, unless a longer period is required by law.

11. Changes to the Services or Terms

We may update the Services and these Terms from time to time. When we change the Terms, we will update the effective date above and post the revised version on this page. Material changes may also be highlighted on the Site. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the Services.

12. General

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional notices presented in the matching flow, are the entire agreement between you and Online Degree Match regarding the Services. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a corporate transaction. Headings are for convenience only.
